For those of you, like me, who have been waiting years for some breakthrough in battery technology it looks like our time may have finally come.
MIT’s research company SolidEnergy has recently stabilized their new battery known as a Lithium Metal battery. It gives you twice the capacity of lithium-ion batteries in the same size package. If that’s not enough, it’s also a solid state battery which means it will be much safer than other lithium batteries which are considered liquid batteries and are prone to emitting raging fires when damaged.
